Deep dark ruby red with an almost opaque core. The multi-layered bouquet combines ripe black currants, blackberries, and dark cherries with the characteristic spice of Cabernet Franc. Fine notes of black pepper, juniper berries, thyme, and a hint of sage give the wine an elegant herbal aroma, while subtle hints of cedar wood, dark cocoa, and fine roasted aromas underline the long barrique aging. On the palate, the »CF« presents itself as powerful yet exceptionally finely structured. Dense fruit, polished tannins, and a cool minerality give it depth and tension. With a little air, the wine unfolds ever-new facets and delights with its impressive balance, silky drinkability, and an exceptionally long, spicy finish.

Reinsortig ausgebaut zeigt er eindrucksvoll, welches Potenzial in dieser außergewöhnlichen Rebsorte steckt. Der kalkhaltige Keuperboden verleiht dem Wein seine präzise Mineralität, die über 30-monatige Reife in schwäbischen Barriques sorgt für Tiefe, Struktur und Eleganz. So entsteht ein Cabernet Franc, der nicht durch Lautstärke beeindruckt, sondern durch seine Vielschichtigkeit, feine Würze und seine faszinierende Entwicklung im Glas.
