Wine is more than just a profession to me. It is passion, conviction, and a constant adventure. Every vintage challenges us anew, every bottle tells its own story. That is precisely what fascinates me - and what drives me. My time in California's Napa Valley left a lasting impression on my perspective of viticulture. There I learned to think openly, to question the status quo, and to have the courage to forge my own path. Back in Leingarten, it was clear to me: the most exciting wines are not created by copying great role models, but where international impulses meet powerful Keuper soils, the sunshine at the Heuchelberg, and genuine Swabian craftsmanship. Our calcareous Keuper soils, the long maturation in barriques made of Swabian oak, and the passion for cuvées form the foundation of my work. For me, a cuvée is much more than the sum of its grape varieties. It is the art of creating something from different grape varieties that is greater than the sum of its parts. It stands for balance, tension, and depth – and gives me the freedom to compose wines with an unmistakable signature. This is how wines are created that do not need to be loud, but linger long in the memory.

For me, wild means staying curious, boldly questioning things, and committing uncompromisingly to quality. It means consistently following your own path – with precision and a clear attitude. No arbitrariness, no mainstream, but wines with profile and a distinct signature. Wines that leave a lasting impression.
