Dark cherry red with violet reflections heralds a red wine full of personality. The nose combines ripe dark cherries, blackberries, and blackcurrants with fine spice notes, a hint of cocoa, and subtle roasted aromas. Maturation in Swabian barriques, along with a proportion of carefully aged reserve wines, gives the cuvée additional depth, a silky melt, and impressive harmony. On the palate, ROT UND WILD is full-bodied, powerful, and wonderfully balanced at the same time. Juicy dark fruit, supple tannins, and fine spice combine into a harmonious overall picture with remarkable elegance. Despite its substance, the wine remains pleasantly accessible and delights with a long finish, exceptional drinkability, and an unmistakable signature.
