Bright amber yellow with golden reflections. Already in the nose, the »R!« reveals its extraordinary depth: ripe vineyard peach, candied citrus fruits, and exotic lychee merge with subtle notes of vanilla bean, beeswax, and a hint of coconut. Behind this lies the cool signature of the calcareous Keuper soil – with hints of wet stone and a fascinating salty minerality. On the palate, the concentration of the old vines combines with an impressive freshness and precision. Spontaneous fermentation and aging in Swabian barriques give the wine a creamy texture and multi-layered spice without masking its origin. Salty minerality, fine melting texture, and extraordinary length carry the wine into an almost endless finish. A Riesling with great personality, uniting power and elegance in a unique way.
R wie Riesling. Ausrufezeichen inklusive. Für unseren »R!« wählen wir ausschließlich vollreife Trauben aus dem ältesten Rieslingweinberg unseres Weinguts. Die tief wurzelnden Reben bringen nur geringe Erträge hervor – dafür aber Trauben mit außergewöhnlicher Konzentration und Ausdruck. Der Ausbau ist ebenso kompromisslos wie der Wein selbst: Die spontane Vergärung beginnt im Barrique aus schwäbischer Eiche und endet nach vier Monaten auf ganz natürliche Weise. So entsteht eine auf nur ein einziges Fass limitierte Rarität, die klassische Riesling-Eleganz mit beeindruckender Tiefe, cremiger Textur und feiner Holzwürze verbindet. Ein Riesling für Entdecker – mutig, eigenständig und mit einer Persönlichkeit, die lange in Erinnerung bleibt.
